Joel Wanasek - Mix Engineer
Mixer & Founder - Unstoppable Recording Machine, Drumforge
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur in the audio space, Joel went from being in a nationally touring rock band, to a self-taught music producer from a basement in rural Wisconsin. He started JTW Recording in 2005 and has worked with hundreds of artists over a decade and a half. Locally, Joel developed Milwaukee talent like Mechanical Kids and Vinyl Theatre, helping them get major label record deals. Joel eventually rose up to work with iconic artists like Scott Stapp, Machine Head, Miyavi, Atilla, blessthefall, Trapt, and more. Joel has mixed many charting songs including multiple #1 singles across various formats.
Aside from mixing and mastering, Joel is best known for completely disrupting the music education market by building a global movement of aspiring audio professionals at URM Academy, the world's largest online school for Rock and Metal producers.
Joel is also known for creating numerous, award-winning mixing audio software tools at Drumforge which are currently used by thousands of producers in the audio production market. Joel has released many highly successful drum sample packs, guitar impulse response packs, and even has his own signature line of "bus glue" mixing plugins via Joey Sturgis Tones.

Joe studied audio production at Full Sail University in Orlando and joined JTW Recording in 2011 as a mixing assistant. Joe has mixed thousands of songs since then with Joel as a production team and specializes in tone designing / reamping. Joe delivers unique guitar tones that stand out.
In 2014 Joe and Joel started the award-winning software company Drumforge with producer Joey Sturgis. With his specialty in tone design, Joe has released several, highly successful guitar tone and impulse packs through Joey Sturgis Tones as well.
